There are plenty of bars in Warsaw. They are everywhere. Although, it is not so easy to find one that stands out from the others. Unless you go to Nowy Świat 6/12, where in mid-April Newonce.bar was opened. At first glance, it may seem like an ordinary place where you can have a good time with your friends, but this is only a semblance.
The said premises are a new, three-story newonce office located in the building where the Central Committee of the PZPR (Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party) is located. On the -1 level there is newonce.radio, a dynamically developing internet radio station. It started just a year ago and has already gained a mass of faithful listeners – 400,000 a month. This means that you will be able to view the editorial staff of newonce.radio at work. On the other hand, at level 0, there is a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is also a +1 level, where there will be both an office part and a play space.
The official opening of the bar took place on April 18, 2019. The size of the crowd who gathered both inside and in the courtyard surprised the organizers themselves.
– We want this place to be a very flexible space, just like during the opening, when we rented almost half of the courtyard so that our guests could fit. We want to implement various modern multimedia projects here. We really want this place to be different than anything that the city has seen before – explains Michał Michalski, CEO of the group newonce.media.
From the side of the courtyard, there is a large, 3.5-meter screen where you can expect various movies and animations, thus changing the appearance of the place.
Newonce.bar will be open daily from 6 pm. Expect on Wednesdays that there will be rap parties, and electronic Thursdays, then Friday “black”, and Saturdays with electronics again. The place is new so will evolve but if the opening is anything to go by then this place is going to be a game changer. It will raise the level once more in Warsaw for others to follow which can only be a good thing!
