Veganism has been going strong for a few years already and shows no sign of slowing down. Infact, ‘Going vegan’ is predicted to be the biggest food trend of 2018 as more and more people become more aware of healthy and ethical lifestyle choices. Kraków is full of vegan restaurants and cafes but we have chosen 5 places that are worthy of being mentioned amongst the best in the city.

Wesoła Cafe
ul. Rakowicka 17, Kraków

Wesoła is a small place where you can have a delicious breakfast (and more). The offer is so extensive that everyone will find something for themselves: sweet, savory, vegan, without gluten. The atmosphere remains effortlessly laid-back, overcoming a bit of an offbeat location to stay stoked with well-groomed hipsters and stake itself a claim as of one Kraków’s best vegan cafes. Break your fast or brunch on the edible in-house specialties, which include quiche and some killer gluten-free brownies.

Chimera
ul. St. Anny 3, Cracow

A selection of very large dishes, all tasty and fresh. Salads first class. Portions also solid and at a reasonable price. While also operating a year-round budget buffet in the gorgeous garden, Chimera’s primary pleasures are to be partaken in its sumptuous cellars.

Karma
ul. Krupnicza 12, Kraków

On entry, you will feel at home straight away. All thanks to the great service. The staff is undoubtedly one of Karma’s greatest assets. All of the outstanding baked goods, including tarts, cakes and cookies, are made on site, and daily specials include delicious vegetarian soups, stir-fry and curries at great prices. There’s even a breakfast menu, giving you every reason to go early and often. For vegans, vegetarians, and anyone who enjoys great coffee, Karma is a must-visit.

Krowarzywa
ul. Sławkowska 8, Kraków

Not the coolest looking place but Kraków’s cool kids keep queueing out the door for Krowarzywa’s cheap vegan burgers and soy dogs. Choose from 5 standard ‘burger’ patties – millet (‘jaglanex’), seitan, chickpea (‘cieciorex’), veggie and tofu, plus outstanding monthly inventions – pick your sauce and whether you want it in a bun, wrap or bowl, and then leave the rest to the riot grrrls on the grill, whose assembly line efficiency is something to behold.

Veganic
Dolnych Młynów 10

A very cozy place, with a friendly service with an elegant backdrop for a romantic dinner, and an enormous garden for hipsters hangouts. However, the most deserving attention are the dishes and their appearance. Such temptations such as smoked tofu steak, beetroot falafel burger, and kale cocktails paired with eco-wines and craft beers it has to be at the top of the list of Kraków’s vegetarian restaurants.
